Selecting the Right Office Printer

There are hundreds of Office Printers to choose from online, this can be confusing with such a variety to choose from. So lets take a look at how to choose the right Office Printer.

Inkjet or Laserjet Printers

Inkjet Printers are cheaper to purchase, but they do have higher runing costs, the ink cartridges can be expensive. Laserjet Printers will cost more to start with, but are much more economical when large printing volumes are used on a weekly basis in the office, so they cost less over a period of time.

Colour or Black & White

This is the easiest decision to make when choosing a new Office Printer. If you only print in black and white, this will save you money on both the printer and the replacement cartridges, as black ink tends to be the cheapest.

If you print in colour, the choice is made for you, you will need to purchase a colour printer

Print Speed

Each printer will tell you how many pages may be printed per minute in both colour and black and white. So if doing large volumes, select a printer with a higher print speed.

How Many Prints Monthly

Each printer will generally have a maximum amount of prints it can manage on a monthly cycle. So if doing large volumes, ensure to purchase a printer that can handle the volumes, equally if not printing large volumes, you can save money, by buying a less powerful printer.

Multifunction or Print Only

A Multifunction Printer will save money and space in the office , as it can print, scan and copy, and is generally the best option, If its just a printer you require, you will save money on the cost of the printer, but obviously have less functions.
